Clinical Epidemiology & Biomedical AI Research

Our lab focuses on clinical epidemiology and clinical informatics infrastructure in hematology and oncology. Our work spans across EHR data warehousing, HIPAA-compliant data sharing and governance, NLP development, multimodal risk prediction, and AI-enabled clinical decision support.

Clinically, we study the assessment, prediction, prevention, and management of venous thromboembolism (VTE) and thrombotic microangiopathy (TMA) in high-risk populations, including patients with active cancer and those undergoing hematopoietic stem cell transplantation.
